A Freddy Madball Rap Album, Release Party Tonight & Live Shows
12.19.2009New York Hardcore legend Freddy Madball has spent the past few months working on his new project planting his feet into the underground hiphop world. Going from Madball
vocalist to emcee, he has teamed up with DJ Stress to form the new rap duo Freddy Madball & DJ Stress. Their debut album Catholic Guilt hits stores this week and features some interesting guests if hearing the Madball frontman give the rap game a shot wasn’t intriguing enough to listen to. ‘London Calling’ features a Clash sample which Freddy & Rancid rap over. Other guests include Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes and Ezec.
Tonight (12.19.09) Black-n-Blue Productions present the record release and listening party for Catholic Guilt at Kate’s Joint on the Lower East Side. DJ Stress and DJ Spae will premier tracks off the album while spinning underground punk, hardcore, and hiphop records all night long.
Tickets also go on-sale today for Freddy & Stress’ show at Knitting Factory Brooklyn on 02.14.10. Long time Madball friend Ill Bill co-headlines the night along with opener Mr. Hyde. Tickets are $16 in advance or $19 at the door, an all ages show.
