Last month the ‘Show and Prove’ competition at Public Assembly had emcees battling for a spot on the Brooklyn HipHop Festival lineup. The semifinalists for the third installment of the competition were announced this week including 8thW1, Sleepwalkas, Those Chosen and Brokn English. It returns to Public Assembly for the next round 05.21.09 as they keep going at it for a spot in the June festival. Cover is $5 at the door and starts at 9:00 PM.

The 06.20.09 festival already has Smif N Wessun on board. Brooklyn Bodgega has also just confirmed that Pharoahe Monch and Styles P will also be on the 2009 lineup. Styles P performed at that same location in 2007 along with The Lox at the Zune BBQ event.
