I’m not very familiar with the music of Alice Smith which may be why I didn’t notice she was performing until the day of the show.  Tonight (03.07.08) the soul & jazz singer will be performing at Highline Ballroom along with DJ Scribe.  Rolling Stone listed Smith as one of their ten artists to watch in 2006 and she just received a Grammy nomination for Best Urban/Alternative.  Tickets for her show are $15; show starts at 9:00 PM.
