Triple Crown’s issues with the neighborhood and community board have been going on for months now but the owners have finally completed its sale.   This weekend will be their last call with Saturday marking their final night.  Tomorrow (02.22.08) night Triple Crown regular Ali Shaheed Muhammad returns along with Uncle Mike for the last Bi-Polar Crew party.  Saturday night (02.23.08) Waajeed, Ill P, Marshall Law, Thanksgiving Brown, and MeLo X help finish it off for Triple Crown’s closing party.  Both parties are $5 at the door before midnight. 

Triple Crown will definitely be missed.  Besides it being a real chill spot with a nice atmosphere they booked so many good DJs to come spin their parties with everyone from members of The X-Ecutioners to 9th Wonder.  In a part of Williamsburg so heavily infiltrated by shitty Serato DJs it was always a nice change having Triple Crown bring in the legends mixed with up-and-coming talents to hold it down on a regular basis.  Peace!
