One of the best parts of summer in NYC is the free shows you can count on every year from the City Parks Foundation.  They do a great job at not only bringing in solid lineups but also making sure that parks in every borough get good performers so no matter where you are you can hit up a concert after work.  This year they’ve done an especially solid job with their hiphop lineup.  Besides the already announced ‘Tribute to Classics’ show with Black Moon & Smif N Wessun, also keep a heads up for Pete Rock vs. DJ Premier, Sugarhill Gang, and Lovebug Starski, and even Raekwon doing a homecoming show in Staten Island.
