I first heard rumors yesterday of a double header at The Apollo Theater featuring The Roots but couldn’t find any solid confirmation.  The show has now been confirmed on okayplayer and looks like its part of the Heineken ‘New Legends Series.’  The shows take place 02.22.08 with 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM performances.  Tickets go on-sale this Wednesday (02.06.08) via ticketmaster but a special phone presale has already started.  To buy tickets through the presale call ticketmaster at 212.307.7171 or the Apollo Theater box office at 212.531.5305, and use the code “ROOTS“.  I suggest trying Apollo’s number first, it may be a way to avoid ticketmaster surcharges.
