Sometimes when the email for this site gets backed I find out about shows after the fact which really pisses me off because this site was created for the sole purpose of preventing that. Take a look at this press release for Hello Brooklyn, the newest venue to open up in Red Hook.

“The wait is over. Something that has been in the planning stages behind the scenes for quite some time is finally a reality. Brand new event / performance space HELLO BROOKLYN in Red Hook has hired Rare Form as their in-house booking team and we couldn’t be any more excited for the potential of this venue. This weekend we’re hosting a “sneak peek” of the spot with events Friday night and Sunday during the day. All the info is below. PLEASE feel free to swing by and bring friends. No dress code, no attitudes, no BS…just easy vibes and good music.”

The bad news is that the first party to kick open the venue was this past Friday with Ge-ology which is too late to post now. However, tonight is their follow up party which you can hit up tonight if you need something to do before heading over to Love. Today (08.31.08) Rare Form presents their Labor Day Cook Out at Hello Brookyn’s courtyard, a daytime party with DJ Eleven and Brainchild that runs from 2:00 - 8:00 PM.
