So what is ‘the fANtastic.’  So far I can’t find much details on the specifics but it appears to be a new Thursday residency with ?uestlove at Le Poisson Rouge.  The first thing that comes to mind when you hear that Quest’s name and the word fantastic is Slum Village’s record which he contributed to.  Otherwise there isn’t much more confirmation if it is even a live performance or DJ set.  The exciting part is that this will likely be one of many different residencies and new performances you will see regularly now that The Roots are calling NYC home.  As confirmed last year, The Roots will be the house band for Jimmy Fallon’s new show on NBC this year.  ‘fANtastic’ kicks off on Thursday, 04.02.09 and continues every Thursday at LPR from then on.  Tickets are already on-sale for the kick off for $20; 21+.
